Gore replied on his website: “As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now and they say that increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming.”

Gore’s snow job was quickly picked up by the Drudge site via link and subsequently, Gore’s site experienced a meltdown.

Gore, no stranger to controversy, stated in a CNN “Late Edition” interview with Wolf Blitzer, “During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”

Gore has come under attack by a growing cadre of scientists who debunk the man-made global warming theory — and for his own energy consumption, most recently for his mansion in Montecito, Calif., which has 6,500 square feet of living space and a swimming pool and fountains. He also made headlines for his exorbitant energy consumption at his 10,000-square-foot Nashville home.
