A Name By Any Other Rows....
The ironic name of the operation, it should be noted, was not lost on us. You see, the word Odyssey actually has a number of cryptic meanings, none of which help in lending any sort of real confidence for the successful and hasty culmination of the Administration's heretofore non-plan of a non-attack in a non-war.
Odyssey actually means "an extended adventurous voyage or trip." Um... "extended adventurous voyage?" That's not exactly what has been sold to the American people and the media. So, we can begin to now wonder if this is beginning to look much like Obama's energy plan for powering America, which primarily involves shutting down coal-fired electric plants and halting oil drilling while ratcheting up fuel costs, somehow making us less energy dependent?
Well... wait a moment, in retrospect, I suppose if we have no energy available we would, therefore, automatically be less energy dependent, to a certain point of view; so there you are.

But, by using that same brand of reasoning as the operation's namesake, a quick air-to-air strike would then become a long, drawn out battle eventually setting the stage for pulling the entire Mideast into the fray as well? Oh no..not going to happen, you might think. At any rate, the second definition of Odyssey means "an intellectual or spiritual quest." To which we can only say, Oh, my God! Please don't tell us the dreaded intellectuals have some loony ideological dog thrown into this fight as well; that would be all that we, indeed, need.
But, if we experimentally pull the two definitions for Odyssey together, it would then mean "an intellectual extended adventure of spiritual quest," (perhaps even culminating in "zakat" adherence, no doubt). Now, when we add the second word, strictly defined, it gets even more interesting. The word Dawn obviously means what you think it means, but it's the second and third definitions that might send a shiver up your spine, if you're Conservative, or a shiver down your leg if Liberal.
