The Community Oncology Alliance met on Capitol Hill on September 22, 2011, in order to bring congressional attention to the massive cuts that the Affordable Health Care Act, better known as Obamacare, has leveled on unsuspecting cancer patients and cancer treatment specialists.
These treatment professionals have been hit with wave after wave of cuts, which include specific cancer treatments, drugs and even therapy, all of which have proven beneficial to the survivability and the quality of care for each patient. The CMS, which is a sub-department of the Dept. of Health and Human Services, recently released its final ruling regarding the specific cuts to Accountable Care Organizations.
While this final ruling altered some of the panel's earlier rulings, the government agency failed to address the critical treatment component of cancer care. Meanwhile, the Congressional Super-Committee is looking at cutting an additional $ 500 billion from Medicare spending programs, after the Democrats, who authorized Obamacare, had already cut $ 500 billion from the program in favor of the now federally-mandated healthcare system.

It would appear that Obama's admonition for certain patients to "just take a pill" might have been short-circuited even further to a revolutionary new form of treatment -- that being "just go away and die."
Remember also, that many in Congress, and who will be running for office in 2012, plan to de-implement Obamacare and restore America's superlative healthcare system.
