CR Note: WHAT IS he trying to do? Aside from, obviously, mocking the electoral process.

Stephen Colbert's "super PAC" got even deeper into the presidential race, running an attack ad against Mitt Romney, according to the New York Times.
In the 60-second commercial, Colbert calls Romney a serial killer -- in jest, we think.
“Mitt Romney has a secret,” says announcer John Lithgow. “As head of Bain Capital, he bought companies, carved them up and got rid of what he couldn’t use.” Recalling Mr. Romney’s remark that “corporations are people,” the commercial concludes, “He’s Mitt the Ripper. ... If you believe corporations are people, do your duty and protect them. On Sat., Jan. 21, stop Mitt the Ripper before he kills again."
Colbert, who hosts "The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central, has handed off control of his "super PAC" to fellow Comedy Central host Jon Stewart so Colbert can run for “president of the United States of South Carolina.”
“Mitt Romney claims to be pro-corporations. But would you let him date your daughter’s corporation?” Stewart said.
