Conservative Refocus
By Barry Secrest
Conservatism's nemesis has struck a hasty and verbose exit from MSNBC as evidenced by his departing diatribe in the included video.
However, his show "Countdown" will apparently continue, albeit with a twist. Some had conjectured that MSNBC will make a number of changes in order to boost flagging ratings, and now we can see perhaps which way the change is headed. The change that we can believe in, at least for awhile, will apparently rely upon the leftist musings of none other than media journalist Lawrence O'Donnell. Surprised? It gets better.
For those who may not know, Lawrence O'Donnell is the reporter who verbally pelted another known lefty for being a Liberal. So what's the problem? Well, O'Donnell's castigation of the Liberal was simply because O'Donnell considers most garden variety Liberals amusing--you see Lawrence O'Donnell is an avowed Socialist. Below are his comments on MSNBC in this regard:
"Glenn, unlike you, I am not a progressive. I am not a liberal who is so afraid of the word that I had to change my name to progressive. Liberals amuse me. I am a socialist. I live to the extreme left, the extreme left of you mere liberals, okay? However, I know this about my country. Liberals are 20 percent of the electorate. Conservatives are 41 percent of the electorate, okay?...You can sit there and pretend that liberals should run more liberal in conservative districts. You love the loss of the Blue Dogs. The only way, the only way you have a chairman Barney Frank, there's only one way, that's by electing Blue Dogs. It's the only way. That's the only way you have a Speaker Pelosi."
Good luck with that....
