The call came in at the oddest of hours. On the other end of the line was one of the wealthiest and most powerful men in the world. The activist author's book had "struck a chord" was the message from the Left-wing billionaire. It wouldn't be long before the author's work would become a signet of change behind the closed doors of a US Administration with a chillingly unprecedented agenda.
Irish born and ivy-league schooled, Samantha Power would eventually find herself escorted through one of the well-guarded gossamer entrances of global power where she wouldn't allow her opportunity go to waste. While Power set to work crafting an unabashedly invasive foreign policy agenda, her husband, Cass Sunstein, would be tirelessly refashioning America's equally invasive domestic policy agenda. These two would, in short order, prove to be a tag-team of liberal destruction for America's already daunting future.
"A Problem from Hell," the Pulitzer prize winning book that Samantha Power authored, would eventually come to be viewed, not only as a severely misguided book to those on the Right, but also as an aptly titled indictment of the Obama Administration itself. The White House's dual-pronged agenda of both domestic and foreign policy initiatives, oddly coupled with a large number of still standing Bush nation-building policies, would, over time, prove to be nothing less than a demolition derby of American interests crashing into and careening off of one another in bizarre earnest.
Israel, as a result, and being one of America's closest allies, would soon find itself in the Administration's targeting reticule, due largely in part to both Power's command of the President's ear and 'the other' whose goals are an anathema to all things American.
There Would be Hell To Pay
Almost as an antithesis to the Liberal anti-Israel mayhem being spawned by the most progressive power couple within the beltway, former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, was also readying himself for a bit of his own ill-designed anti-constitutional mayhem.
Meet The Press, which has quickly become a veritable media bookend to the Obama Administration, wanted to talk to Gingrich, and the feeling was beyond mutual. But what Gingrich had to deliver to the political world was not at all what one would have typically expected. Gingrich had been tirelessly working with his comely wife, Callista, for the crowning moment of his presidential run for some time; this would be his shining moment of emergent triumph...or would it?
Hours after Gingrich's auto-expose', many Conservatives, after having just spent a considerable portion of time defending Gingrich in various forums that immediately followed his presidential announcement, would find themselves at a loss for words due directly to the Meet the Press interview. Even the Progressives, in excruciating chagrin, would find themselves partially defending Gingrich's remarks.

When the news of Newt's blasphemy finally viraled out to Conservadom's shocked derision and outrage, one particular thought seemed to pervade -with regard to both Gingrich and his words.
Crossing The River Styxx
The President had initially pitched his oddly-timed press conference as a few words of encouragement for The Arab Spring Phenomena. However, to many Conservatives and some few historians who pay a particular type of attention to history, the inaptly titled Arab Spring had been erroneously abbreviated. The full title, in their now increasingly jaded view, would be appended to "Arab Spring--board --The New Islamic Confederation."
However, the Obama Administration either chose not to see the peril or perhaps even preferred the murderous unrest as being coupled with an even more uncertain future, the trolley of Arab/Mid-East Democracy having largely sped past the expected stopping points of Liberty and Liberal Democracy.
Either way, the President stunned the world with his announcement siding against the longtime American ally in Israel and in support of the anti-American Islamists of Palestine. The President not only suggested a separate Palestinian State, but also avowed a support of redrawing Israeli territorial lines. Obama, even further suggesting that the territorial lines be allowed to return to the borders that existed in the pre-1967 Six Day War, had instigated a move that could perhaps end Israel as a sovereign nation.
While the President disingenuously tried to appear gratuitous to the two involved parties, many would cryptically remember Obama's earlier statement of " I will stand with the Muslims" regardless of his actual context of the time. The President had now made his initial choice, come hell or high water and perhaps even both.

Fascinating How Quickly The Tide Can Turn.
Gingrich, however, had already crafted his framework of ill-begotten failure. During Gregory's Meet The Press interview, Gingrich had clearly stated his support of an individual healthcare mandate causing the initial uproar. Gregory, cunningly knowing that his gotcha moment had been unearthed, craftily allowed Gingrich to dig his shaft even deeper, while Gregory decided to strike for journalistic gold.
After a give and take session of verbal parrying, not only did Gingrich somehow finally agree with both Obama's and Mitt Romney's souring healthcare mandate, The Former Speaker also stated a healthy disavowal of Paul Ryan's medicare and budgetary plan as "Right-wing social engineering." By the time the interview was completed, Gingrich's presidential campaign would lie wounded, tattered and bleeding on the battleground of discarded ideas.
The Gingrich Campaign had begun and figuratively ended in a death-defying recipe for Conservative disaster, hurriedly grilled on Mainstream Media's hotbed of political choice and then appallingly disgorged upon his unwitting supporters.
The Tides Of Spring
The response from Conservatives all over America was one of feeling the effects of a confused, shamed betrayal. The shame coming from actually having strongly considered Newt as a viable Conservative Candidate, the betrayal in his essentially supporting Obamacare and disavowing Ryan's budget, and the confusion in having continually listened to Newt's Constitutional rants on the one hand, while then watching him throw all of that away for an ill-compassioned Media effect at best, on the other.
Many Conservatives even argued with one another on how best to frame Gingrich's odd-seeming flip-flop. Some offering excuses while others declaring a complete abandonment of Gingrich's presidential ambitions.
Meanwhile Obama's seeming support of Palestine and the Arabs at the extreme cost of Israel left a large number of Independents, Jews and some few Liberals even more angy at their President than ever before, never mind the Moderates. Some Jews even clamored in confusion at how to frame what is ultimately a Naive betrayal of their people, not wishing to believe that Obama had mislead them, doggedly continuing their life-long marathon quest of abject ideological denial.

The Arabs in large part, however, were overjoyed with the President while other Mideastern sects declared that even a re-established Palestinian State was simply not enough. The Jews, to their way of thinking, had to be either expelled from their lands or wiped off the face of the earth or maybe even better... both, given time. Regardless of the now pending quandary, Obama had gone completely against his earlier statements as being in complete support of Israel.
A Natural Reaction
Some might recall pounding on their desks in frustration and then searching the internet for some visual proof to see, if perhaps, the Gingrich/Obama vignettes could simply be ascribed to merely creative reporting by the Media. Surely that must be it, many must have thought, they simply took what either said and then twisted it around until the report bore no true resemblance to the truth. An old trick we have seen performed numerous times by crafty reporters only to be foolishly accepted by the clueless recipient masses.
No such luck, were the findings.
The Israelis and America's Western Allies, meanwhile, were also completely agog at what the US Administration had vengefully wrought. The Israeli's were fit to be tied as Prime Minster Netanyahu forcibly confronted the Obama White House to ascertain what the political game being played by the Administration, this time, might actually portend. The Israeli Prime Minister would not be cowed, as his planned trip to address a sitting US Congress proceeded on schedule. The Conservatives were simply giddy in disbelief, not because of the President's betrayal of Israel, but rather because what many of us had predicted after the Bin Laden operation had come to a fruition, being a massive, overconfident mistake by the Messiah misplayed.
Obama's pattern of political pawnsmanship has always sought to immediately advantage an obvious political victory with a newly contrived but even greater political risk. Would this particular Liberal agenda, going against American traditions, play well for the President or had he already whiffed the ball as it sped past the plate? The answer to this question was currently on its way to the White House embedded within an impenetrable security cordon.
The Dog That Wouldn't Hunt
No matter how badly Conservatives wanted to believe that Gingrich had simply made a mistake, the poultice of words Gingrich deftly laced together in appearance after appearance in order to repair the damage simply could not salve the wounds. For those who have been calling out Obama and his enamored Disciples for over two long years now, be it over incongruities, half-truths, mistruths, complicity, duplicity or even deceit, few could bring themselves to tacitly overlook Newt's conservatively treasonous words. Then they would be just like those others and that slow death was one to be avoided, as evidenced by current traditional Media decay.
At some point many were tempted to simply forget what Gingrich and the President had said, after all, Trump and later Daniels had dropped out of the GOP race and there were only a few undoubtedly Conservative champions left. While Obama's post-op backpedaling spoke to a clear misunderstanding, as per his usual. Still, there was slick Mitt Romney still left to the GOP, who rarely gets his words wrong, but he, after all, was the Republican who came up with the same thing that Obama and the Liberals had forced down America's throat, albeit, on a smaller scale, in the first place.
For both Obama and Romney the universally sub-conscious idea at play to the American people was simply this:
As you do to the least of these, so you do to the greatest.
Netanyahu, a determined look etched across his face, set in public meeting at the Oval office. A ratcheting cacophony of camera mechanisms going off virtually every second, cleanly mimicking the reactions of a charged and emotional press. The President, sitting in stony silence with hand perched strategically to guard against any unintended exclamations, looked on as the Israeli Prime Minister mixed a gentle firmness into the electric atmosphere.

Netanyahu explained the cold realities to both Obama and the Media and thereby the world itself, at least to those who had ears to actually listen. Obama's mandate would not be possible to achieve although certain parts of it were agreeable to the Israeli's. Obama seemed to smolder at Netanyahu's boldness at correcting Obama's self-styled and simplistic efforts at logic. The Prime Minister made it clear that what Obama had proposed was nothing short of unthinkable to the Israeli's and did not meet the litmus test of reality when Hamas, the political faction that controls Palestine, had sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
Mixing a murderous population of Palestinian/Hamas terrorists into Israel would be akin to America's offering a state of sanctuary to Al Qaeda within the US borders, being a most appropriate simile, and a thing that could in reality never, ever happen.
Unfortunately, that appeared to be exactly what the White House had in mind for Israel.
Reasonings And Miscalculations: The Problem With Newt
The penultimate question became an anxious why for these two betrayals. And here, as with all things, the simplest and most practical answers tend to be the best ones.
Gingrich, while subscribing largely to Conservative values, has always tailored his responses to the audience of whom he assumes he is performing. A tendency which works quite well for showmen and, no doubt, also for his opponent in President Obama. If one were to review Gingrich's career, he has always tried to appeal to the largest sub-sector of his viewing peerage, while at the same time maintaining at least a semblance of familiarity to his original ideology, for the most part.
However, It was also Gingrich who appeared at the Aspen Institute and stated a number of disparaging points aimed at the Bush administration and its war on terror and Iraq, it was Gingrich who appeared on a sofa with Nancy Pelosi speaking to global warming and green energy at the time of Global Warming's nadir, and it was Gingrich who appeared with Hillary Clinton to pose for Healthcare reform. All of these items Conservatives have bravely, if not wearily, fought against. I do apologize fellow Conservatives, but only because this particular argument is armored in the rectitude of rational reality and simply cannot be disallowed, no matter how this avers one's political views.

Finally, it was Gingrich who wantonly stated "The era of Reagan is over" and now we understood exactly what he meant.
Gingrich had appeared on Meet The Press, to a self-supposed audience of moderates and beltway types. Gingrich once again tailored his message but there was one problem this time that simply could not be overcome. In this instance, Newt was being observed through the merciless microscope of Presidential politics and that particular venue is as unforgiving as a PETA aficionado at a dog fighting match. Gingrich had fanned his impressive centrist tailfeathers and verbally strutted about while his Conservative base jealously watched on behind the shades of national television.
Newt had, in one bold stroke, exclaimed all the wrong things to all the wrong people. Gingrich later tried to walk virtually everything he had stated back while chalking it all up to a grand collection of misstatements. This, we must obviously point out, would have had to have been one of the most eloquently stated and accurately described collections of misstatements and ill-explained policy platforms ever to be known within the annals of political history, alas. Newt's stunning lack of reasoned Conservative principles --which he was dutifully amassing while I was still in diapers, I might add, were sorely amiss.
The Problem With Obama
Obama's problems in the Israeli quagmire, in part resemble Newt's problem, as to who he was preaching to and who was actually watching, a problem of which Obama should now be intimately familiar and yet never is. In this case, Obama had sought to deliver a message to the Mideast Arab Spring crowd, and simply hadn't factored in the strong undercurrent of National feeling in this regard or had he? The President's staff being populated by a cadre of leftist, anti-Israeli and Yes-Beings, who tend to focus on what appeals to both themselves and their Obama agenda rather than to what most normal Americans and America's allies subscribe to, had miscalculated and badly.

This, on balance, simply cannot be denied, regardless of motive.
But the problem with Obama, in this particular case as one of many, circles all the way back to our Pulitzer Prize-winning author in Samantha Power and her work, along with her dark Master being the left-wing billionaire, once again. The one thing to remember about Power and her work is how she seemingly feels about Israeli Zionists in occlusion to the Israeli-Palestinian problem. You see her book on "A problem from hell" deals with genocide and how it is America's responsibility to protect virtually any peoples who come under the genocidal dictates of any estranged country or leader.
In her language, Power unerringly ignores the genocide that many Islamic nations wish to impart on the Israeli people. Odd now, that is, is it not? But it gets better or worse, pick your poison, because Power actually intimates the need for America to create a force and implant it within the confines of Palestine, even while the Palestinians continuously attack the Israeli's. The stated intent being to simply defend the Palestinian people from Israel.
Please see the story for yourself, if you suffer disbelief. Even better, was what Biden had much earlier alluded to, when he stated that at some point, Obama would make a decision that few might agree with. Therefore, was this maneuver planned from the get-go?
When Obama was much earlier directed to read Power's book in 2004, Power was later contacted by the then Congressman Obama to state his approval, and a hearty leftist fellowship eventually ensued. It was also at a slightly earlier time than this that Obama's connection to the Left-wing billionaire was made public.
So, will Obama tend to focus on Israel as being the genocidal force while totally ignoring the fact that the Arab Spring of nations is focused largely on the demise of Israel? This sad fact is a central premise to Islamic fundamentalists and simply cannot be denied, once again, despite the Administration's seeming ignoring of the facts. As with all things Obama, the administration will mis-focus on the symptoms of the problem while trying to dole out a prescription that deals with this same defensively inspired symptom, rather than dealing with the actual disease of aggressive Islamic fanaticism that is slowly viralling out and intensifying within the Arab world at the direct behest of both Iran', the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists, among many others.
The simple fact is that America and Israel represent the western liberal Democracy's Conservative barriers that must be taken down in order for the Islamists to achieve their fascist goals. Most Progressives are not equipped for and simply cannot intellectually fathom this fact to its logical and deadly conclusion, and therein lies the unholy rub.
Oh, and Samantha Power's Dark Master? Come on, you knew, but just in case you actually didn't, he's the one that enigmatically said this:
