Conservative Refocus
Barry Secrest
It's almost comical.
Eighteen months away from an election, which will ultimately determine America's course for the next decade, and both the Elites and the Democrats have already hedged the entire outcome on the premise of One Very evil Man's violent death.
It gets even better, however, because Bin Laden's demise, at the ostensible command of the Liberal Elite in Chief, being President Barack Obama, may have marked the first time that the Progressive Democrats actually agreed and even heartily approved of Capital Punishment, even though it was delivered summarily by a heinous bullet manufactured by the Right within the field of battle, no less.
Granted, it's really not so terribly hard to fathom why the Liberals have suddenly become so leeringly hawkish on State administered death, because when you get right down to it, what else do they have? Plenty, is the answer from those of us who make up the Conservative majority, or perhaps more specifically, an extreme lack of plenty. You see, what the Progressives don't wish us to look at very closely, or even remotely acknowledge in passing, is the sad state of spiraling decline that America finds herself in after not even three years of unabashedly Liberal policies being blanketed all over our wounded land.
Change We Can Hardly Believe
Regardless of the economic detritus that we see gathering all around us, the Media's wistfully nonchalant economic reports will repeatedly insist to us that the Great Recession ended in late 2009 due directly to the policies of change we can believe in. This despite the fact that unemployment still remains stubbornly high across the entire US. The news reports will additionally tell us that inflation is not even a factor, while leaving out the fact that both sky-rocketing energy and food costs are now not actually included within the inflationary indices. But there is also one other bit of grasping at ideological straws that both the mainstream media and the Democrats are trying to massage into holographic fiction despite all evidence to the contrary.

This fiction being perpetrated by the media has most recently begun crowing in vengeful victory concerning the exaggerated demise of Paul Ryan's Medicare budget plan due to a surprised nation's district 26 House election in New York. What the media has even more comically suggested to us is that this particular election was a bellwether event for the Liberal Democrats in that a dizzy denizen of the Left actually won the blasted thing. Now, how does one obscure election in the liberal Northeast, resulting in the sole victory of a lone Democrat, somehow foreshadow the momentous results, not seven months earlier, in which the Conservative vote swept the land and turned Liberal politics on its ear?
No doubt an interestingly faulty conclusion by both the Media and the Left and even by some Republican faint-hearts in Congress which fails to acknowledge the actual truth. Yet it is a fictional conclusion which we should ruefully acknowledge, as Conservatives, simply because it serves as a rejoined warning to us all that victories are rarely for certain, even now.
A Duplicitous Media
This then brings us to the intrinsic fact that the media will tell us everything they would desire us to hear and show us everything they would desire us to see, while stubbornly avoiding the damning evidence that points to a far different set of circumstances altogether.
These circumstances speak to the fact that In the past, whenever America had entered a point of extreme economic difficulty, she would, in fairly short order, battle her way out and do so with trumpets blaring and flags waving. In the past, the concerted efforts of a powerful free market, coupled with a Government smart enough to either get out of the way or at least help in euphemistically clearing the path, had always won the day and done so masterfully.

But this time something is entirely different and America continues its struggle to power a way out of her quagmire. So what is the exact nature of this vexing problem, and how do we finally solve it and move forward?
The answer to this question was recently enunciated by none other than a cabinet member of the Obama Administration himself. Departing Secretary of Defense Robert Gates recently stated that "America's entitlement overstretch will soon crowd out the readiness of its ultra-modern military," or put in other words:
"America can either be a welfare state or a superpower but certainly not both.''
A Fictitious Stimulus
On February 13th of 2009, the US economic stimulus package was passed with no Republican votes. The total stimulus package resulted in nearly $ 1 trillion dollars of newly incurred debt, even after the mammoth expenditures associated with the financial bailouts and loans to various "too big to fail" businesses and foreign governments in late 2008 and early 2009. These outlays left treasury coiffures--that had already been exhausted--now depleted even further. What we didn't know at the time was that most of the actual funds would go to state and local governments so that Union jobs would not be at risk.
In fact, very little private industry or infrastructure payouts would be achieved. The other half of the stimulus would go towards tax credits and the like delivered to the most favored of companies specializing in projects that ranged from green energy pursuits and human capital needs, to even tuition tax credits. It was--in effect-- a Liberal slush fund granted to the most favored that achieved nothing less than redistribution in its essence.
At the time of the stimulus' passage, one can recall the media crowing incessantly at how great this would all turn out, while the Obama Administration somehow promised that the stimulus would keep unemployment at or below 8 % and would immediately impact private industry. Obama, much later on, would disingenuously admit that he simply hadn't understood the concept of shovel-ready jobs which equates to a tacit acknowledgment that the stimulus was simply a huge waste to the populace as a whole. Several months after its passage, and while only a small proportion of the stimulus had actually been spent, Conservative concerns had already turned towards the specter of inflation and what it might do to the economy later on, as talk of repeal fell on deaf Congressional ears.
Spiraling Inflation
As it turns out, our inflationary fears were answered in less than 24 months, as inflation had begun to rage out of control. From January of 2009 to May of 2011, the cost of fuel skyrocketed by 200% to nearly $ 4.00 per gallon in most areas, once again leaving the populace gasping and beleaguredly wondering what's next? Obama's war on fossil fuels had taken its toll, along with an ambivalent stance on Mideast peace which threw cautionary efforts at stability to the winds. The President's much earlier avowed goal of $ 7 dollar per gallon gasoline might soon be realized as industry after industry experiences cost increases exponentially.
From transportation to service companies, each business has been forced to increase its charges as a direct result of fuel costs, which then predictably marches inflationary pressures upwards across the board. By May of 2011, staple foods such as sugar, corn and soybeans increased by anywhere from 30% to 178%, placing yet another burden on the American populace, and thereby the world, as a result.

Obama's backhanded procedure of granting lip service to energy independence on the one hand while establishing moratorium after moratorium on wells, leases and even permits had worked smashingly. The President's efforts to salve this wound were, even more ironically, aimed at other nations' efforts at oil exploration. Obama, at the ostensible peak of America's energy concern, traveled to and extended billions in credits to Brazil for oil exploration even while fawning over their interests at becoming one of America's greatest energy providers. So much for energy independence.
Staggering Debt
In January of 2009, when Obama took office, the national debt stood, after the meltdown, at $ 10.6 Trillion dollars. After an unparalleled orgy of Democratically controlled Government spending throughout 2010, January of 2011 found that the public debt had skyrocketed by nearly half to over $14.3 Trillion dollars. Despite complete control of both legislative branches of Congress, the executive branch and the media as well, a 2010 budget resolution was never passed, this due to the Democrats' fears of voter outrage as the 2010 elections drew near. The $ 14 Trillion dollar man had a plan, and it was working.
2010 soon became known as the year of continuing resolutions, as hundreds of government programs were left in languish until Congress, at regular intervals, decided to fund various government outlays for several more months. Throughout the period of 2009 and 2010, the screws of government regulation tightened profusely as fear began to take hold of the American populace. Whispers of controlling radio, the Internet and even free speech began leaching out of the government.
The banks had practically closed down their lending due to new government regulatory controls, while all manner of industry, and even Capitalism itself, was being attacked. Insurance companies, banks, even certain members of the media itself were being threatened and even enjoined by Government.
Shattered Economic Freedom
In January of 2009, the world ranking of US economic freedom stood at 5th in the world. By the time the Liberal Democrats' soft-authoritarian schemes had taken full hold in the land, the American people would find that the US ranking of economic freedom had plunged to 9th in the world by 2011.

The Land of Freedom and Liberty had become an also-ran as the Constitution took on the ephemeral weight of tissue paper. A perfect storm of radical Liberalism had lowered the devastating maelstrom of Obamanomics into the heartland of America. The impossibly wide swath of economic damage left in its wake found the American people shaken and gasping once again.
After all of the ravages and the instability caused by the incessant unconstitutional onslaught perpetrated by the Statists, American Business still stood, swaying bravely on its feet. Even staggering, at times, the US free market battled on. Every time business pushed ahead and the economy began grinding forth, the Progressives would then hatch yet another legislative plan that would creak the US economy to a halt once again. The Progressives, while ravenously suckling the teet of Capitalism's largess, seemed to jealously rage at their own need of its provender. The greatest free market anathema--being instability and irritation--was the one thing that the Statists could provide and in plenty.
De-Evolving Healthcare
Throughout 2009, the Obama Administration, despite upheaval appearing in virtually every sector of the economy, was rather oddly preoccupied with healthcare and Cap and Trade. As one of the significant engines of the American economy, being housing and construction, had increasingly fallen into decline, the focus of the Progressives remained locked onto healthcare. The healthcare industry, comprising over 1/6 th of the US economy and the age-old darling of Statists the world over simply could not be ignored. Reams of both debate and legislation were also being aimed at taxing carbon emissions. As a result of this neglectful meandering, the number of long-term unemployed increased from a high of 2.6 million in 2009 to over 6.4 million individuals by January of 2011.
While US industry both watched and waited on the hows and the whens of Obamacare's passage along with Cap and trade, the naturally derived economic instability once again caused a sputtering economy to come to a stop. While private industry and individuals were more than satisfied with their healthcare, the Liberal Democrats completely ignored the implores of the American people, which virtually begged for the Government to initiate job growth strategies. By mid-year 2011, the average cost of health insurance coverage would increase for many by up to 25% per person as a direct result of Obamacare. This after seeing average increases of anywhere from 7 to 12% in past years.

2011 would also see a total of 27 states suing the Federal Government over the healthcare mandate's constitutionality, while employers who always shouldered much of the costs, increasingly considered backing out of voluntary coverage altogether. As a result of Obamacare, families initially noticed their annual costs rise to over $ 10,800 per year. Doctors began backing out of government medicare contracts, many even getting out of private practice altogether. All of this while the Democrats slashed Medicare funding by $ 500 billion per year in order to facilitate Obamacare, while blaming the Republicans for efforting a repair of Medicare while there is yet time.
A Dark Comedy Of Errors
By June of 2011, the Obama Administration will have issued over 1,300 Obamacare waivers to the larger companies who requested them. Considerations of the Constitutional favoritism of waivers is rarely, if ever, brought up by the media. Questions of campaign funding to the Democrats as a result of the waivers are also largely ignored. The intrinsic achievement of hegemony commonly associated with Socialism has found its grasp, as favoritism begins to hold sway and true American social justice incrementally falls by the way side. The Liberals continue their swooning over Obama.
Even used cars have not gone unnoticed by the Statists. The ravages of the Obama Administration's cash for clunkers program, in which hundreds of thousands of perfectly operating vehicles are destroyed, caused used automobile costs to spiral out of reach, for many, in 2011. Now, what had been an easily accessible avenue to reliable transportation for youngsters and the economically disadvantaged, has surged upwards of 30% in one year. What began as a program to bolster auto manufacturing and sales has turned into a nightmare shortage of lessened US inventory, partially due to an arbitrary insistence on fuel-sipping vehicles by the Government and once again of course, short-sighted, ignorant policies.
American cities which once had been engines of wealth to virtually every walk of the Civil Society quickly find themselves falling into extreme decay and debilitating debt. Many even shutting down up to half of all schools and packing classrooms in at up to three times their normal size. Library after library shutters its doors in city after city. The onslaught of Illegals that had initially found their way into the Land of Plenty for opportunity has altered into a borderline battle of Mexican drug kingpins and warlords. Many within the populace have sought solace in the nightmare of drugs rather than the dreams of a life fulfilled, due directly to lack of potential economic furtherance.
Adding Insult To Injury
Children are now counseled against the Pledge of Allegiance and praying, while the exaltation of Government as God and cardboard for nourishment rules the day in our schools. The economic upheaval of quantitative easing by the US Treasury is further spiraling inflation upwards throughout the globe causing European governments to inch towards a domino effect of collapse. An already impoverished Middle East has begun to teeter and fall into the waiting arms of Islamic extremism and the ravishes of a strict adherence to an often barbaric Shariah law.
Talk, as a result, has shifted ever more increasingly to end-of-times scenarios, as natural and often violent weather cycles are, once again, blamed on man-made global warming. False Prophets have arisen from the masses and have taken advantage of millions, leading to financial collapse and even death in some cases. The nation has become fixated on rumors of a Manchurian candidate, and even forgeries of a birth certificate, as trust in the American Government quickly deflates and confidence incrementally expires.

The President has even casually dropped a longtime traditional observance of Israeli support by proffering a return to borders that could quickly ablate the nation of Israel's security. Egypt, as a result, has boldly allowed a historical terrorist avenue of entrance to open once again into Gaza, further compromising Israeli security and increasing the instability of an already tenuous position. The President, Still insisting, that a youth rooted in Muslim tradition holds no sway on his policy judgments.
Talk of an America descending into decline has become internationally infectious and has been bolstered by the President and his assistants as they insist that America can no longer be the engine that powers the world's economy.
A Government that once prided itself on operating in the background and being largely invisible, has suddenly surged to the forefront of American life. Creating policies, regulations and intrusions that no other American Government has even come close to in the past. The American people, as a result, begin to resent a burgeoning interdependence upon Government which has insidiously been birthed by the actions of this same a-strayed Government itself.
Its almost as if a large number of Americans find themselves in the throes of Stockholm Syndrome, and yet it is their own Government which has perpetrated the victimization of its masses into this twisted cognitive funk of a disorder.
So, if after all of this decline, deceit, devastation and dissolution still leads anyone into thinking that Americans will rush to the polls and unanimously vote for the stammeringly brilliant, $ 14 Trillion dollar man in Obama and four more years of this intrusive, train-wreck of a nightmare...then you might also be interested in investing in this once-in-a-lifetime program that we were recently made aware of.
It involves this fascinating Judgment Day scenario, and it won't cost you much....
