Conservative Refocus

On returning from a business lunch in the early afternoon, I had just merged onto the freeway loop that circles around uptown Charlotte, approaching from the northern side. Flicking on the radio, there was a fifteen-year old from the rustic mountain town of Floyd, Virginia, speaking to Rush Limbaugh, on WBT, concerning America's free market economy and how it was quickly being eroded away into nothing much more than a collectivist experiment into poverty.

As the young man spoke, an image of the esoteric town of Floyd flickered across my memory, recalling small groups of bluegrass and folk musicians peppered all about the town, playing for any and all who cared to listen on a crisp early-autumn evening, both tie-dyed hippies and overall clad countryfolk co-existing meaningfully in the throes of both music and American culture.

Drifting quickly back again to the wise youngster's voice, his subjectivity reminding me a great deal of my own young son's of about the same age, he was highlighting a growing concern for America's future. As I listened to the two discuss America's current generational quandary on the radio, I glanced up at the Charlotte skyline, my vehicle describing a long, lazy arc around the metropolis; uptown buildings leaping from a lush canopy of trees. My gaze returned to the freeway long enough to verify where I and the other vehicles were. I glanced up at the sky scrapers again, consternated that something very familiar was missing. My eyes darted cautiously across the skyline trying to find this missing symbol that should have been embedded deep in the heart of one of America's largest financial centers, and yet the expected elements, long a familiar sight, simply weren't there.

I Applied a bit of logic and reran the mental sequence back through twice while quickly changing lanes away from an erratically driven car from New York. The big Dodge engine meanwhile grumbled at being impeded by some tiny little 2-Liter upstart. Reengaging my random access memory, I was trying to remember another time in the past when the reassuring icons of American industry had been absent, but was drawing a complete blank. You see, the things that were missing were the telltale skycranes that would normally tower out of the Cityscape, often even in multitudes, across the largest and wealthiest city in North Carolina.

Nothing of any note, it would seem, was being constructed for the first time in a very long slice of Charlotte's storied history, that being one of outrageous growth.

Literally unfortunate it is, it would seem, that ours is not the only city being unable to boast that ever-familiar symbol of growth, in America. This particular story in fact, is being repeated in city after major city all across America, even as those in power continually whisper soothing rejoinders of how things are getting better and will be great again, and soon.

But haven't we been hearing this fable for over three long years now, and will we be forced to yet hear this same mantra for another four years? Especially after also being repeatedly told that America can no longer be the world's economic engine that it was.

Change We Can Hardly Believe.....

After repeated and devastatingly radical administrative moves over the past three years, the defining note in the final year for Obama's term is the fact that there will be an election held in a relatively scant, eight months. This led us to wonder exactly how it is, after a decidedly miserable job of managing America's success as a nation, many continue to think that Obama will win the day at election, predicated only on the President's melanin content and a large number of dubious, at best, protestations of unfortunate good intent that went terribly awry.

So, indeed, why is it that we think both Obama and the Democrats face a scorched earth, uphill battle in the impending 2012 election, while many, many others seem to not?

Here are our Top-Ten arguments against the predominant belief that Obama will manage to rebalance the updated US crown as Leader of the Flee World upon his messianic cranium, even though it brims over with the overwhelming detritus of Progressive mush.

10 Obama's Saul Alinsky Radicalism

In 2008, the Mainstream Media completely failed in their duty to report on Obama and fully vet his past, so that America could make an informed decision on a candidate who could, admittedly, electrify a fawning audience with nothing much more than the crease in his pants. In fact, the Axis Press actually took extreme pains to cover up and defend the Senator from Chicago's many nefarious associations, including extreme-Left groups, unapologetic terrorists, several very shady business associations, and even avowed Black Racists, but it only started there.

America was much later to find, as its new President issued edict after authoritarian edict, that Obama had, in fact, been trained as a Left-Wing community organizer and had even helped to establish and bankroll numerous Progressive and Communist organizations. Those organizations included the Woods Fund, Midwest Academy and Citizens Action to name a few. Interestingly, Saul Alinsky's son, L. David Alinksy, wrote in 2008 of Obama: "I am proud to see that my Father's model for organizing is being applied successfully." You see, Saul Alinksy was a radical neo-Marxist who preached aggressive community organizing tactics, designed to destabilize Capitalism and bring a country to its knees, so that radical Leftist reforms might be accomplished--the final goal for Saul Alinksy and his radical adherents.

The powerful point that none should forget is simply this: Saul Alinksy wrote the book, "Rules For Radicals" and dedicated the book to Satan as being the first successful community organizer in human history. Which is about all most of us need to know with regard to who and what actually inspires Obama's fealties. Suffice it to say, the Conservative media has now done a thorough job of explaining Obama's radicalism to the American people, and just this fact alone would tend to weigh heavily against most candidate's presidential aspirations.  However, this faulty footing then also points to the bellwether of the President's consistent failure on behalf of the American people....

9 Obama's Denial of American Exceptionalism

"America is different from other nations," a statement heard many times in Right-Wing circles, and while American Progressives will pooh-pooh the statement almost every single time, most nations across the globe would actually agree, if not for the same reasons. However, America is not different due to our DNA or intelligence, nor necessarily to our culture or even our wealth of under-utilized natural resources. Our landmass is lesser than many nations, our population ranks a distant third to super-populated India and China. So, what exactly is it that allows our nation to provide fully 1/4th of the world's economy with only 1/20th of the world's population?

There is but one easy answer to that question, and it's a very powerful one pointing to the US Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and a populace completely saturated in the cause of Liberty and the wisdom of Judeo-Christian ethos from birth. This Liberty actually bequeaths the foundation of governance, not to the pale and stunted functionaries of the political Elite, but rather into the people's robust but ready hands and away from a centralized core of an overbearing oligarchy.

Now, you will never hear this President speak, to any length, on the virtues of American Exceptionalism, and there is definite reason for this, which leads us to number eight:

8 Obama's Belief in Globalism

Obama actually believes in a New World Order in which America would surrender its sovereignty to a centralized world government where all the former national rules would not necessarily apply. In fact, America is seen by most Globalists as the final impediment to a one-world government, capable of dominating all the other nations, an impediment due only to the dual-pronged strength of the US  economy and unmatched military might. Obama fully believes himself to be the first post-American President and fully intends to redistribute America's great wealth, ad infinitum, until very little of it remains.

When actually speaking on America to the world, Obama will tell you that America is exceptional, however, "only in the same way that Great Britain is exceptional to the Brits, or Greece is exceptional to the Greeks."

Not exactly the words of a dedicated One Nation Leader, it should be noted, and the American people are beginning to finally see this fact, even while Obama, mindful of his patriotic deficiencies, still can't adopt the language of the Right to any meaningful degree, which leads us to his next great problem:

7 Obama's Identity Crisis

Quite frankly, Obama can often be seen to vacillate across a wide range of subjects simply because his belief system is built upon the leaky framework of a specific disbelief in American values. For instance, prior to the Gulf disaster, Obama had actually stated that he intended to pursue an intensification of America's oil-drilling activities, only to accomplish a complete 180 degree "knee-jerk turnabout" and shut most off-shore drilling down right after the mysterious Gulf disaster.

Obama even disregarded a Federal Judge's order and was held in contempt, to immediately vacate his decree that drilling by private US companies cease, even while foreign oil companies continued to plunder oil from beneath US-Gulf waters. Obama's mandated US loan of billions to Brazil's oil company, Petrobas, also raised eyebrows, even while Obama fought against US government aid via tax relief and other measures to US oil companies for exploration.

But it doesn't end with Obama's energy/comedy skits, because on virtually every campaign promise, Obama has reneged on his earlier and far loftier visions. His three year attack on Capitalism has only been surpassed by a fascist favoritism to certain high-end Left-Wing capitalists subject to favorable Union affiliations or future Campaign donations. His views on ending America's wars were quickly co-opted by an expensive attack on Libya, where no American interest exists. Obama's flip-flopped Egypt policy resulted in the Egyptian government's fall into the hands of Islamic sectarianists, only destabilizing the region even further and placing one our closest ally, and the only true Mideast Democracy, being Israel, in extreme peril.

A promised "new transparency," attributed to the future Obama White House as having been laid out during both the campaign and subsequent inauguration, has been but an opaque wall of misdirection and as shrouded as any in America's history, which defaults to:

6 Obama's Crisis in Political Affiliation

These spasms of a failed identity have culminated in Obama's US birth being questioned, his ID cards being investigated, and his avowed identity as a Christian being doubted. Many firmly believe that Obama is actually a Muslim, based almost certainly on Obama's past statements and current actions in loving deference to the faith of Islam at an expense to all other faiths. As to Obama's politics, many believe to this day, based upon Obama's actionable policies and affiliations with the Workers Party and other Collectivist sects, that he is, politically, a Marxist at worst or a European Socialist at best.

Obama's ongoing crisis of identity can be fully accredited to his primary function of resisting essentially all things Conservative and logical.  His politics are built, not on rock-solid principle, but rather on the faulty foundation of American revulsion, if not aversion, which leads us into a root identity that promises to be the failed key of this Pandora's-box-Presidency:

5  Obama's Eco-Marxist War on American Energy

Ironic, isn't it, that While Obama largely sees the free market as an impediment to his overall goals, he will often use facets of the free market to elevate his own rather obtuse agenda items. From loans to Brazil's Petrobas, so that "America will become one of Brazil's biggest oil buyers," to Obama's failed energy loans to Solyndra Solar and others to the tune of  billions wasted, Obama will continually make such outrageous decisions in furtherance of his imbecilic "Green Energy For America" policy and his pursuit of the ever elusive Imagifuel. Obama's Energy Secretary Chu was recently drilled in front of Congress on his stated predilection for a European-styled $10 per gallon gasoline for America. When pressed, Chu stated that he had, at one time, held those beliefs, but now believed that he was mistaken. Ah yes, when caught under the bed, it's best to feign repentance, as they say.

Indeed, Mr. Chu's repentance doesn't end with gasoline, Obama fully intends to continue the shutdown of coal mines, restrict oil drilling on public lands, and halt or slow permitting for American oil rigs in the Gulf. One of Obama's biggest energy mistakes was his "NO" decision on the trans-Canadian XL oil pipeline. While virtually every Republican and most Democrats in the House were all for limiting our dependence on Mideast oil by approving of the XL pipeline, Obama nixed the program as "needing more research."

Ah yes, the dreaded "research" decision, which can only begot more negative research decisions, as America's economy teeters ever closer to the edge. However, Obama was quick to run to the extreme southern leg of the already started "US portion" of the pipeline, as America's gaze turreted sternly in his direction, noting the loss of up to 20,000 jobs.  Obama's vow to clear out the red tape and get the pipeline going immediately left many of us to wonder if perhaps one of Obama's multiple personalities was close to giving in to the American people and allowing the pipeline to go through. One of him is, in fact, the only one blocking it in the first place, which therefore leads us to the next sin, being:

4) Obama's War on Common Sense and the Truth

But as gasoline quickly moves its way to $ 5 per gallon, Obama's energy policies have been laid bare for everyone to view, along with most of his agenda, and the consensus is increasingly not too good for the President.  From the Cap and Trade "global warming" fiasco, to the failed GM "Fred Flintstone" Ya-Volt, over-regulating banks, to quantitative easing, you name it,  Obama has shown himself to be about as effective as chicken-poop on a pump handle when it comes to solving any of America's real problems.

Heightening energy woes, economic woes, racial problems, class envy, housing woes, banking woes:  Throw a stick, hit a problem, and you will find Obama's name etched across the problem in either large or small letters. And if it wasn't him, it was one of his Progressive minions acting on his behalf.

Rather than being the one working to solve these problems, Obama simply complicates the problem. Take for instance energy, again.  When trying to explain our expanded need for inexpensive and plentiful energy, Obama will complain that America uses 20% of the world's energy resources while only producing 2% of the world's oil, which is a total lie. In fact, America ranks first overall in world energy production, producing fully 10% of the world's oil while providing 1/4th of the world's total economy, and once again, with only 1/20th of the world's population.

The actual truth in America's energy reserves tells another story altogether from Obama's. In fact, America holds within its borders over one trillion barrels of accessible oil, easily capable of fueling America for the next 200 years. From the ANWR and north Slope in Alaska, the US outer continental shelf formations, the Green River formation in Wyoming, the Dakota's Bakken formation and many others, some yet to be discovered, America has no true energy problem. America does, however, have an Eco-Marxist energy problem in accessing the oil and penetrating though the lies, and Obama is the Titular Head of both, leading us to the next big problem being:

3 Obama's War on the US Constitution

"What's frustrated people, is that I haven't been able to force Congress, to implement every aspect of what I said of 2008" "Well, you know, it turns out that...Uh...our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change, that I would like sometimes" ~Barack Hussein Obama, February,2012

Indeed, the proliferation of Constitutional attacks by Obama could fill volumes, and could easily spill this column over into a epic rivaling "War and Peace" in the volume's thickness and scale, and in only a scant three years. But reading the embedded meaning within the words above points to a President who sees the US Constitution as an impediment to his notion of radical change. Obama, rather than having a US Constitution predicated on Negative rights aimed at what the government can't do, which is good, would rather have a list of positive rights indicating what the government can do for you, meaning what it can also do to you. This hearkens back to Reagan's famous quote of the nine most dreaded words in the english language:

"I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help."

The question, therefore, is "what has Obama done that actually stays well within the bounds of the US Constitution?" Here is where this line of thinking bears scrutable fruition on a scale that is not insurmountable, sad though it is, and its rooted in Obama's transformational values, pointing to:

2) Obama's War on American Culture

On the eve of Obama's winning of the 2008 Presidential election, Obama stated this:

"We are five days away from fundamentally transforming America"

Little did America know the form of change Obama had in mind for it at the time.  During Obama's entire term, his Presidency has been nothing if not a grand Leftist orgy dedicated to the distant drumbeats of class warfare, class envy and even race warfare. Concerning racial inequality, Obama's stealthily contrived angst has highlighted a concerted soft-war on racial harmony in America. When most Americans naively thought that their elevation of the first black President into office would signal an end to racism in America as it had been known, little did they understand that one of the primary tools of a Community Organizing Radical was the Left-Wing artifice of race baiting.

Obama, in fact, was not at all about recognizing  how a large number of non-ethnic Americans elevated him into his office, but rather Obama seemed to seethe in anger at the injury of those other Colonial racists who failed to vote for him. From an Obama Department of Justice, whose impetus would drop all Federal cases against Blacks who participated in the voter intimidation of non-ethnics, to actually suing States for failing to coddle illegal aliens according to Federal law. The ostensible reasoning, in this case, being that the states in question harbored a racial bias against Hispanics.  The Obama White House has, in truth, been anything but blind to the question of melanin content in the Civil Society.

However, the war on American culture didn't stop there, the ridiculous Stimulus act, as proffered by George Soros, was not an economic tool designed to stimulate American business and create jobs, as touted, but rather it was a US Government engineered effort at propping up Unions, State Government employees and the Workers Party in one of the darkest hours of economic blight since the Great Depression, to the tune of $ 1 trillion dollars. In addition, while adding more debt, to the tune of $ 5 trillion dollars, which is more than all other US Presidents combined, Obama also presided over the first time in US History that America lost it triple-A bond rating.

The simple fact is that short of volume whose size of Obama's crimes against America could easily compare to that of the 2,700 page 2010 Affordable Healthcare Act,  which leads us to Obama's number one reason for being unelectable in 2012:

1 Obamacare

So, what happens when you take the number one healthcare delivery system in the world and deliver it over to an outrageous grouping of ideological Marxists and Socialists Democrats? Obamacare is the unfortunate answer. Despite Obama's having run against a single payer mandated system in 2008 in order to disingenuously avail himself of the Presidential election, the President did a complete and telling 180 degree turnabout after his election, in order to put the authoritarian healthcare mandate in place.

Passing a bill that few had read and even less fully understood, even to this day, the affordable healthcare act would finally mark the Obama administration's main Presidential calling card in 2012, that being an executive branch wholly dedicated to governing against the will of the people. The simple fact of healthcare totalitarianism, even outside of all of the other damaging evidence, points to an authoritarian Obama prefecture being saturated in the ideals of Marxism and economic lunacy. The Axis press and Obama's minions will tell us that, despite nearly two-thirds of an angry America being completely against Obamacare, the President remains popular and will probably be re-elected, to which we can only say: Indeed, he might.

This, despite the carnage of Obamacare's having been ravaging an unsure economy for two long years now, while already being re-tabulated as to the costs, which have doubled to over 1.76 trillion from the earlier estimates, laying the porn of Obamacare waivers deftly aside, even. Far worse for Obama, and despite whatever findings the Supreme Court arrives at, America is already seeing a vast receding tide of American healthcare quality across a wide range of fronts.  This recession of quality far too much resembling that of the telltale signs of a figurative tsunami setting up to crash onto an already wounded America, the impending crisis to be laid at the feet of the man whose name it balefully bears.

Obamacare will most likely fail, as will Obama's re-election.  Disregard all of this evidence as presented only in deference to the fiction that is Obama's American legacy.

And watch out for those increasingly elusive skycranes.....
