Remember the faith based initiatives started under G W Bush? Zakat and Tithing are the same thing, execept zakat is 2.5% of net worth verses 10% of gross income. And regarding # 7 that you are so concerned about, tithes were and are used for warfare and the propagation of Christianity ( and to be honest, neither are used to support warfare anymore oil profits, drug profits, taxes and debt are).
